Early child education is that type of education aimed at catching them young. WHY CHANGE THE SYSTEM?

The system should be changed to reflect the needed skills, human and material resources that will drive the globalization engine for benefits of mankind. The system should be changed to ensure proper channeling of our scarce resources in the prevailing challenges of the future. Take for instance, government of some nations spend heavily for provision of teaching and learning aids, provision of good learning environment like buildings of class rooms, library, supply of books, charts, maps, chalks, tables, chairs and teaching laboratories. Storage and security are not always guaranteed because of cost and accommodations. As this processes are repeatedly done on annual basis, termites and rodents feed on these procured materials supplied at the expense of educational budget. The poor security system, preservation method, lack of storage space and old patterns stuff provide serious loop-holes that are not match able with the demands of globalization.

HOW CHANGE THE SYSTEM

There are some recommendations on how to change the system. There should be aggressive reversal form the supply of the old fashioned hard copy of books, charts, maps, and other teaching aids; to middle school system (secondary school or post primary education system). There should be total engagement in computer education and practice. If possible, let this level of education system be compulsorily branded “SCHOOL OF COMPUTER EDUCATION AND PRACTICE”

The budget for provision of books and other old fashioned materials will be for supply of computer hardware and software designed to include all known subjects being offered in the system presently. Charts software, maps, sciences like chemistry, physics biology and others have today, relevant software that is better in both theory and practical aspect of the course. The preservation is also preferable and cheaper than the old fashioned materials. In other development, all types of books suppliable can come in the form of software and pupils and students do not have any thing to loose on the changing process rather, they will gain additional computer technology knowledge to reshape their future.

Developing political will to do or execute actions is another means of overcoming the challenges posed by the globalization in the area of information technology. If national interest can override personal interest in this sense, it can workout for nation. If government can also be sincere in fighting corruption, victory is not far fetched. If there is true political will, to eradicate illiteracy by the year 2020, the expected change in the system can be perfected. The will to plan for education sector and the will to implement the plans, the will to spend judiciously without diverting funds meant for specific project are the rightful will needed to drive home all benefits of the information technology towards development of mankind.

Improvement of teaching and learning condition, training and retraining of teachers, private partnership participation in funding of education, good legislative frame work and determined fight against HIV virus, are other measures to enhance solutions of these problems.
